Stiller Producers MasterMind for Dreamworks

I know not everyone likes him, but I just LOVE hearing news about ANYTHING Ben Stiller is attached to. He just makes me laugh, and I am guaranteed a good time every time I see one of his movies. Now I didn’t care for Madagascar, nor do I care about the sequel, in which Stiller will be voicing the lead. But I wont hold that against him. Here is what he is up to now:

MovieWeb says:

DreamWorks Animation veterans Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson are attached to make their feature film directorial debut with Master Mind. Their 2006 animated short film First Flight charmed audiences and critics groups alike. Master Mind will mark the first time Stiller collaborates with DreamWorks Animation in a production capacity, having previously voiced Alex the lion in the global hit Madagascar and in the upcoming Madagascar: The Crate Escape. Schoolcraft & Simons will write the film, with DreamWorks Animation’s Chris Kuser and Red Hour’s Lara Breay overseeing development.

Master Mind is a satirical send-up of the superhero genre, built around the story of a super villain who loses his joie de vivre after accidentally killing his arch rival, Uberman, in the opening scene of the movie.

I love this idea of a superhero movie being told from the perspective of the badguy. Its the age old story. What does the hero do once there are no badguys to fight? What if the badguy WINS?

This sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I do like Stiller’s sense of humour, so hopefully with him producing we will see his influence.

  1. I wouldn’t be so sure it would click unless it’s an animated movie. I feel that stiller has become a little too predictable on screen. recently, his movies have become cliche- take for example ‘night at the museum’. plain, dull and boring.

  2. LOL, “Uberman”. And Uberman gets killed. I love it already. >_LOL, “Uberman”. And Uberman gets killed. I love it already. >_< Sounds like it'll be a fun film.

  3. It sure does sound interesting; a neat plot. Is this going to be an animated film?
Every time I think of Ben Stiller I see him as a character that I take pity on. I’m not exactly sure why.
