Rocky Collectables Go To Far

Ever since Star Wars changed the face of Movie Merchandizing we have seen a plethora of collectible toys, posters and memorabilia to fatten the pockets of the movie studios. And we eat it all up. One of the things I am looking forward to most about the Transformers Movie is the collectibles. My wife is already eying me suspiciously whenever I surf the toy sites.
But sometimes you can go too far. Jakks Toys has released a line of Rocky related collectable figures from the entire series. The lastest of these collectables is this memorable character from the first movie. The Meat.
Jakks produced this line of 6 inch action figures based on the characters in the classic Rocky films. (Some a bit more “classic” than others.) The line consists of 6 inch fully poseable and articulated action figures. This particular “figure” is the side of beef that Rocky punched bloody in the first film. Mmmm…tenderized. Also includes a bloody smock. How many figures can you say that about?
The scary part is, that it is Sold Out.

Well it’s better then The Human Tourch on a motorbike toy…I don’t know what part of it makes no sense to me, the fact gas and fire don’t mix, or that Storm can fly.

Apparently you haven’t seen the movie. Johnny Storm is an adrenaline junky… including riding a motorcycle.
Johnny Storm is a ladies man. There is no point in charming the ladies if you cant take them for a ride.
And if you read the comic at all you would see that Johnny learns to control the heat out put of his flames to the point that they are nearly harmless.
The only thing wrong with it is the fact that they are selling this product in it’s own seperate box.
If it were to be sold with Rocky doll then there wouldn’t be problem.
You guys hear about SLY getting into a bit of bother with the authorities down under. Something to do with bring drugs/steriods into Australia illegally!!!!
Your 100% right Rodney. But it annoys me when toy companies release pointless toys that have nothing to do with the movie. Like the Johnny Storm on the bike, at no point in the movie is Storm riding along on the bike fully flamed on. It would have been better if the toy came with the motorcross clothes on. Also they released the movie Ben Grimm on a bike. At no point was The Thing on a bike in the movie. This makes me sad.
