kristen.jpg Kristen Wiig, an actress in her second season of SNL is in final negotiations for a large role in the new film Walk Hard. The good people over at yahoo.com gave us more on the story:

“Saturday Night Live” cast member Kristen Wiig is in final negotiations to co-star opposite John C. Reilly and Jenna Fischer in Columbia Pictures’ comedy “Walk Hard.” for producer Judd Apatow. Directed by Jake Kasdan from a script he co-wrote with producer Judd Apatow, the film centers on a singer (Reilly) who overcomes adversity to become a musical legend. Wiig will play the role of Edith, wife of Reilly’s character.

The story of a musician who overcomes adversity to become a musical legend? I’m sorry wasn’t that movie called Walk the Line? Wait! No…this is a comedy. Ok then.

Wigg is a decent actress and looking at the work she’s gotten lately (Unaccompanied Minors and Knocked Up) I’m sure she will land this role and keep the pace for some time. Good for her, nice to see the funny ladies making some cash in this business.

  1. it’s gonna be your turn soon sharon!

  2. Kristen, along with her husband are the funniest players on SNL for me right now. A very close second is Bill Hader. He cracks me up in every skit. Adam Sandler Jr. can be annoying at times and Amy is starting to tire me.
