I'm sure it's a classic case of a studio being afraid to cast a woman in her 40s/50s as a romantic lead, which is lame as hell. The reason the first sizzled like it did was because of the chemistry. Furthermore, if I had to choose who gave the better performance -- Brosnan or Russo -- I would go with Russo.
