My Big Fat Greek Wedding was on of the biggest sleeper hits of all time. It caught a lot of people off guard and hung around in the top 10 box office positions for months and month (that just never happens anymore). And I personally loved it. It cost next to nothing to make, so it should surprise anyone that they’re now talking about a My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
The good folks over at Cinema Confidential give us the following:
Variety reports Nia Vardalos has an idea for a potential sequel to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”. “I’ve understood the desire for a sequel, because I hear it all the time from my family and everyone I run into at a Starbucks,” Vardalos said.
Let’s just hope that it’s better than that awful awful short lived (thankfully) TV spin off that only lasted one season (which was still too long).
The movie was totally overrated drivel.
I loved the first one. I will give the second one a try. I never watched the TV show. Sometimes you have to leave things as thay are. It was a cash cow and they wanted to milk it until it was dry.

I loved the film when it came out; I loved this this movie.
Thought fame went to Nia’s head for awhile, sabotaging her own series,
and now this. What is it? The first Big Fat Greek Wedding endeed in divorce? Why is this a part 2? Or am I all wrong and the film is called My Big Fat Greek Bun In The Oven?
