He talks. In the cartoon, the “Venom” voice is naturally more menacing than Eddie Brock and his Brooklyn accent.
I’m not well versed on the Spidey comics, so forgive me for this dumb question…..does Venom talk like a man or does he just roar and shit? Because to see that freaky thing talk like Topher Grace would be comedy.
I’d say the 3rd installment will show the birth of Venom at the end and bring him into the 4th installment. This is more of Sandman’s/Osborn’s storline.

I was on AICN and someone over there made a very good point about why they have to have more Venom in the movie……TOYS. Venom would be a HUGE seller, but not if he’s only in it for a damn cameo. This movie is starting to remind me of Batman and Robin. Just stick with me here……multiple villains, a bunch of new characters that have to be introduced, plus the wrapping up of loose ends from Spidey 2. All of this has to be done in under 2 and a half hours. This trailer is boss compared to the other one, but I’m seriously concerned. I’ll still be there opening day, but I can’t get as hyped about 3 as I was about 2.

And yes, Grandpa Reno; the Simpsons Trailer was ass-suckery. Just an attempt to get us to watch the show tonight. Which was equally stupid. The Simpsons were so ten years ago.

i just saw someone on aicn say that they get the feeling the reason they are holding back on venom is because he isn’t really in the film and I tend to agree with them. i reckon the reason they are being cagey about him is because he isn’t really in the film. sandman and harry are the main story – venom stuff will all be set up during the film with grace becoming venom at the very end as a cliff hanger for the next film….might be wrong but jesus do they have to cram alot into one film to cover it all.

I have a feeling that because this is the Comic-Con footage, they decided to hold back and relase something still a little bit teaser-ish.

I might be the only one, but I’m not so much a fan of Venom being in the movie. The whole alien/monster with a long tongue thing seems like a bit of stretch. I mean, the first two were sort of realistic in a way. Right?
clap, clap, clap, i must say that trailer was indeed excellent. the pacing filled u in more of the story elements and gave you insight on the characters. showing peter parker jumping through buildings running from harry was great. this made me 5 times more excited to see it then the one they showed on TV. classic trailer, they should have shown this one. there’s more emotion, more action, more everything. goodd find
