Mr. Bean’s Holiday Trailer

Mr. Bean is just a shell now of his former glory. His big screen stuff has sucked, and aside from his role in Rat Race, Rowan Atkinson’s film career has been a let down too. I’m not excited about Mr. Bean’s Holiday in the least. The trailer looks kinda cute, I’ll give it that… but nothing that made me laugh out loud. Check it out and decide for yourself.

  1. What can we say about Mr.Bean, huh? Mr.Bean is a solo guy who can make a comedy so funny without using any other cast. Mr.Bean who is known as Rowan Atkinson was a student who start making comedy and movie with himself. When Mr.Bean was released Rowan Atkinson was shined in almost 200 countries. This solo guy uses only material such as a car, and a teddy that it. Hillarious jokes has been made by himself. Till today people are still laughing at his jokes even the series has ended and made a movie. Fans of Rowan Atkinson never turned down when Mr.Bean is played on their television. After a few years of the Mr.Bean series, they made another funny the movie of MR.Bean. Yet, people was excited with the movement he made in the film. This year 2006 they have created MR.Bean Holiday. And I hope that Rowan Atkinson don’t Turn us down because we all love you.

  2. Yeah…

Kind of like how Animal House was funny 28 years ago…
Or how the Jerk was funny 27 years ago…
Or how Young Frankenstein was funny 32 years ago…

Funny is funny, it doesnt matter how long ago it was.
That’s kind of a weak argument against it.

  3. I’ll see this simply because of Rowan Atkinson. Black Adder, the thin blue line and Mr. Bean are 3 of the funniest shows ever on the BBC, so I will always give him the benefit of the doubt.

Also the trailer has me hooked. Not because it was overly funny (it was just cute), but because if you noticed nobody (except the narrator) spoke. This Bean is not going to be americanized and may be going back to the (practically) silent vignettes of the television show. One can only hope.

  4. Liked him as the stumbling first-time wedding preacher in Four Weddings and a Funeral. He mangles the names and the vows to the point that the congregation breaks into applause when he finally manages to finish it. It’s only a few minutes but it’s a good part of a very good movie.

  5. You know what? I think Rowan Atkinson needs to turn to TV. I think he could have successful US TV show in the same vein as Monk.

But you have to admit his performance in Keeping Mum with Maggie Smith was a big step forward for him. I think he needs more roles like that, but should definately head back to TV.

Besides Mr Bean, I don’t think Atkinson is a big enough drawcard for theatre goers. Just look at Johnny English!? I didn’t.

    Good luck Mr Bean.

  6. Come on, John.
Johhny English was so stupid it was kinda funny.
Not to mention his stellar turn in the first Scooby-Doo movie.

I kid, of course, but I’m still excited because I love Mr. Bean.
