I can honestly say that I tend to avoid movies that revolve around the glorification of smoking pot. Generally the type of humour that goes along with it is something I dont find entertaining. I dont recall why or how, but I ended up watching Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle and I ended up finding it rather funny.
John Cho (Harold) and Kal Penn (Kumar) have officially signed on to star in Harold and Kumar 2, with screenwriters Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (who penned the first flick) set to make their directorial debut on the sequel. Now, before there was word that a sequel would find the boys traveling across Amsterdam, however we’re not certain whether it will take place abroad or here in the States. PR describes the pic as a cross-country adventure that “follows the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun authorities after being suspected as terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board a flight to Amsterdam.”
So now it seems that its been long enough that we can make jokes about people being mistaken as terrorists in movies. And though Harold and Kumar may never actually make it to the mythical safehaven of legal marijuana, we are sure to see a lot of hilliarious antics on their way.
I wonder if the cheeta will make a cameo. Or Patrick Harris.

it’s a go..it’s being filmed in my hometown of Shreveport,La..no idea about casting or filming start date yet.
These guys are great and deserve another chance to make us laugh. Whitecastle and Half Baked are up there with “Up in Smoke.”
It’s fun to watch stoner movies because if you’ve ever known anyone who smoked often enough you see some of the stupid shit they do. Granted movies paint it a little funnier.
I was actually surprised by the this movie – I didn’t think it would be such a fun watch. I hope the sequel can capture the same fun and laughs.
I wasn’t a fan fo whitecastle, I dunno why. I might re-watch it and give it another chance.

I think Donna A. hit the nail on the head. They are the new Cheech and Chong and thus should have many sequels. What I wouldn’t give to see them do a spoofing/remake of the Corsican Brothers.

I never got into drugs and most like never will. But I just love stoner-road pictures! I love this movie. I was hoping they would make H&K 2. I have always saw them as the Cheech and Chong of the 2000’s.
