More On Kevin Smith Horror Project

The other day we posted about how Kevin Smith’s next film project was going to be a horror film… a genre he’s never really done and that a lot of people (including me) think he’ll excel in. But other than the fact that he’s actually doing a horror film, there weren’t many details.
Well now, Smith is talking a little bit more about the horror project. The good folks over at Cinematical report the following:
When pressed to explain what type of horror flick, the writer-director insisted it would be “straight horror” and not some Jay and Silent Bob Return from the Dead sort of thing. According to Smith via a tipster (who is paraphrasing), “Its gonna have all of the horror you’d expect, blood and guts…and tits. No, no, no, not that, I’m talkin’ about man tits. What? What’s so bad about man tits? I have tits! They’re sexy! And hairy … but, yeah, I’m doin’ a horror movie.”
Smith also went on to say that the film will actually be shot in Los Angeles… wow… not in New Jersey.
Along the lines of a completely uneducated guess… I’m thinking that Smith won’t go into a supernatural type of horror film. He’ll probably stick to a “Scream” type of shocker. But like I said, don’t quote me on that… it’s a pure 100% guess on my part.

Like I said before, I’m glad Smith is doing something different. This genre will be something he will be good at.
I hope he doesn’t pull out of the project because he seems to do that a lot with other films.
I can’t imagine Smith doing a ghost story or anything either. I’m not expecting any great shakes or anything but, who knows, he could surprise us all. 10 years from now we could all be bitching and moaning about him making too many horror movies.
I HOPE IT WILL BE INTERESTING!
