Shaun of the Dead Troop Brings us Hot Fuzz

I absolutly love Shaun of the Dead. I thought it was creative, hilarious and honestly scary at points. Who would have ever thought we’d see a Romantic Comedy with Zombies? Classic.

Well, it looks like the team that brought us Shaun are now getting ready to give us Hot Fuzz!

Top London cop, Police Constable Nicholas Angel, finds himself reassigned to the sleepy West Country village of Sandford. With garden fetes and neighbourhood watch meetings replacing the action of the city, Angel struggles to adapt to his situation and finds himself partnered with Danny Butterman, an oafish but well meaning young Constable. Just as all seems lost, a series of grisly accidents motivates Angel into action. Convinced of foul play, Angel realises that Sandford may not be as idyllic as it seems.

Hot Fuzz is being directed by Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg, Jim Broadbent, Nick Frost and Timothy Dalton. Nice cast! I can’t wait to see it. Thanks to Carl for the heads up!

Man – I can’t believe I gave up a chance to be in Shaun of the Dead because I have a fear of contact lenses. What an idiot!

My two workmates at the time were in it (tall ginger zombie and girl being shown TV by Shaun), as were a lot of people around London at the time. There was a fairly open audition.

John – if you haven’t seen it you need to pick up Pegg’s previous series Spaced. It’s a fan boys dream.

I second that, Spaced is awesome.

There’s currently 9 video diaries up for the shoot on Working Title’s website. I had an OMG reaction to numbers 8 and 9 – for completely seperate reasons.
