Lizardfreak, is it ? (pause for laughter) I could think of at least a dozen different responses to your post, but the best one is not to respond and let your hostile, offensive, inarticulate, badly composed, misspelled, immature ranting speak for itself to illustrate the kind of moron you are. If you are the type of irrational fanatic who blindly loves Batman Begins, its no wonder I didn't like the movie. I'm done with you...you may return to your lizard kingdom to romp with Jim Morrison's ghost and pretend to be a big, important man. Or, if you prefer, you can sit on the floor in the corner rocking back and forth chanting "Batman Begins is the best movie ever" while eating your own snot.

Thanks for the sideshow.

Bret, you need to get your facts straight! I hope you were joking, because man o man, your crazy if you think Begins was dull and a poor movie. Everyone has their own views but serioulsly, come on! Why would you even post that? The movie was fun you jackass and explained everything very will in reasonable amount of time.

Bret, if your not joking, there has to be one thing about this film you liked, please tell us you liked SOMETHING! One of my friends became a Batman fan after seeing this movie, he had your attitude but about Batman in general. You seem to like Batman, but not this movie. Hmmm?

Tim Burton's take was based off a mix of the comic book about the caped crusader Batman and the 1960's television show. Joel Shitmaker tried to be Tim Burton but added a homosexual twist to Burton's work. (not trying to bash gays here)and this folowed the story of the Dynamic Duo. We got great cartoon series about Batman and then waited for this movie. This movie was based off of the Dark Knight and had mistakes to go off of from the past to make this movie great.

Every see, hear, or have anything that just fits and just feels right? Spider-Man feels right, X-2 feels right, Batman Begins feels right, so how can you not like this movie unless your a little kid?

That my rant Breast, oops! I mean, Brat. Oops, Bart, no thats not it, Barf? No, this isn't Spaceballs, let me check what your name is again. Oh, it's Bret! Now go soak your head and sandpaper your balls, review what you know about Batman, see Begins again, give you nuts a good itch and comeback when your older.

It's Christian Bale. Not Christopher. But other than that, pretty accurate. I would add that this is the first time we've seen the true characters in a Batman movie. Every other time we've seen Batman as the alter-ego for Bruce. It's really the opposite. Bale did an amazing job of presenting that.

Sorry, but I though BEGINS was a dull and poor movie. The Tim Burton BATMAN movies are still my favorites. BEGINS was too much like a James Bond movie. I hated the changes made to Batman's origin regarding Chill being captured hours after the murder, and Ra's al Ghul responsible for Batman's training. The film was obsessed with over explaining every detail and making everything logical...what this film sorely lacked was FUN. Batman can and should be dark, but still fun without reduced to camp. The fear gas acid trips were laughable...all it needed was LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS on the soundtrack. I did not believe Bale was Batman or Wayne, he was more like Keanu Reeves. Goyer's script was terrible...his dumb, jokey dialog was awful. Do us all a favor and don't bring Goyer back for the sequel...give us Paul Dini or Kevin Smith.

I disagree with your take on the action sequences. Yes, they are harder to follow, but a detailed, choreographed fight tends to pull me out of the film in the same manner every number does in a musical. I appreciate it when fight sequence is done prettily, but in this film, the close-in, frenetic shooting of the fight gives you the feeling of a real brawl, which is not pretty, and tends to be close up and hard to follow. I'm not saying that the fights are perfect, but they keep you in the film rather than stopping the story to watch a ballet number with swords and guns.

i absolutedly loved loved loved this movie. I totally wasn't expecting to but the dark, gritty and extremely well made film goyer and nolan produced is just a cut above any other comic film for me. Spiderman 1 and 2 are just too gaudy, too campy, for my taste. I want it dark, DC/Vertigo style, like (hopefully) V for Vendetta might turn out to be. But the strength of Batman is in its characters. Alfred, Gordon and Lucius, plus Bruce Wayne and his relationship to the other three, is the real success of this film. Also, I wasn't expecting it to be so funny, but in particular michael caine had some great one-liners that lightened the darkness at just the right moments without it being over the top. I agree, Batman Begins has to be the yardstick on which other comic book movies are measured.

While "Batman Begins" shows great promise for the Batman franchise, "Spiderman 2" is still the yardstick for comic book movies to aspire to.

Excellent review! It was a really good read. I agree with you totally about how well the translation from the comic book to the big screen was. I also agree with the crappy camera movments in the action sequences, it's supposed to represent chaos or something, but instead leaves us with wonder and frustration from not being able to see the fighting to well.

If they do more fighting in CGI it would be perfect for this movie. You cannot tell it's CGI when the area surrounding the character is very dark and filled with shadows. And if they just find better camera angles and stop moving the friken thing that would be fine as well leaving it original without to much CGI.

Maybe they will all wise up and get right the next time around, we can only hope.
