Ninja Turtles Bad News

The Teenagle Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming back to the big screen. A few months back we told you about the re-birth of the franchise (which I personally don’t think is that great of an idea) which is now appearently set for an early 2007 realease date (I think it’s all going to be computer generated Animation).

Anyway, the one glimer of hope I held out for was that MAYBE they would go way back to the original comic book days of the franchise and have it much darker, more violent and less silly. But those hope of mine were shattered when the studio announced that they would be going for a “PG” audience for the project.

Oh well. Maybe the Smurfs will be redone to actually be undercover tiny blue secret assains. Now that would kick ass!

  1. They should have a raunchy sex scene where Master Splinter is in the corner jerking off to Donatello who is spinning around on his shell while April rides the dildo superglued to his stomach. Leonardo video tapes while Shedder is in the corner tearing his penis to shreds.

But really, how can you make a successful Ninja Turtles movie without being deemed a sicko, or not having it be a cartoon or CGI, or just someone trying to make a quick buck by remaking a movie? I watched the original movie a while ago and found it to be alright. But the one where they time travel pissed me off. That would be an “R” rating for ya’s. But it’s not really darker unless they ad a black turtle to the group during the sex scene.

A darker version would be perfect. It would make Master Shedder even spookier. He used to scare the crap out of me!

  2. Who would they pitch a ‘darker’ PG13-R version of the Turtles to? I know kids’ll eventually see it if the parents are too taken back by the rating to take them to the show – but it’d probably be too risky for ‘let’s remake everything’ Hollywood. So, PG isn’t that much of a surprise – is it?
