I thought the movie presentation of Zaphod's two heads was a neat twist, better explaining why the second head never seemed to do much. I loved nearly everything about the movie (the Heart of Gold design, the way the improbability engine "worked"). I kind of missed the bulkier "thumb". And the neon-guide-graphics of the TV show, vs. the "Flash" look in the movie. Ah, when computer graphics cost a bundle to do... The oddest thing was experiencing four versions of a line while watching certain scenes (the book, the TV show, the Infocom game, and the movie as it was unfolding). Heh. The set up with Hummus [sic] is the weakest part of the movie, but otherwise it was great fun!
