Oh baby! As a kid I LOVED the old school ninja films! For me, the best of them all was the first one I ever saw: Revenge of the Ninja starring Sho Kosugi.
Kosugi starred in no less than 6 North American Ninja films in the 80’s. He was THE MAN. So imagine my total glee when I cam across this little bit of news on FilmFodder:
Variety says Sho Kosugi, star of “Enter the Ninja,” “Revenge of the Ninja,” “Ninja III: The Domination,” and a slew of other sorta-classics, will reprise his ninja role in “The Return of the Ninja.” Kosugi will play a ninja master who travels to the U.S. to find an “American heir.”
Oh sweet heavens I’m a happy man. Time for me to start making ninja throwing stars out of ripped up pop cans again.

Kane Kosugi has a newer movie out called Muscle Heat. It’s pretty good and you can tell that he’s trying to take the martial arts that his father taught him to another level.

Like others before me, I too was turned to Martial Arts by my Master…Sho Kosugi. I cant wait to see him kick ass again. Would love to hear from any Kosugi fans as I can’t talk about Ninjas to my wife. I learned tons from my on screen master & owe him much. BACK TO THE SHADOWS!!

When I was 10 I saw Revenge of the Ninja for the first time. Sho Kosugi is single-handedly responsible for turning me on to the martial arts. I have been studying martial arts for the last twenty years now and I owe it all to him. His movies kicked total ass!!! And now, he’s coming back!!:) This just made my year!!!

I loved those ninja films. I also liked Sho’s cameo in Blind Fury.
were those the Ninja films in the mid 80’s that Cannon Pictures always released 3 months before or after an Chuck Norris Film? That was a real film company…..no females worked at that place! They high on Action and very little script.
