Wow. This is Gonna Win Some Razzies.

resident.jpgOh my. The trailer for the Resident Evil sequel is online and it looks so bad it’ll have you thinking that Paul W. S. Anderson’s original was Citizen Kane. Pick any aspect of film making you want – cinematography, production design, acting, action sequences, special effects – they’re all wretchedly bad. Truly, horribly bad. Aside from a brief smile that the scene of them blowing up Toronto’s misbegotten city hall will provide those of us who live here there’s nothing good about this at all. Click here to check it out, you crazy masochist, you.

  1. You know what bothers me about this trailer? You see that big bridge scene? That’s the Bloor viaduct. It’s about five minutes from my house. It’s one of the major access routes to my part of the city. They shut it down for a few days to film that bit, which caused me a fair bit of grief one day. If you’re going to shut down one of the major traffic points in a major city you’d better film something better than that. I mean I have no problems being put out for art and will accept being put out for commerce but I’m less than pleased about being put out for crap.

  2. I’ll be in line with Josh and Bombadil as well….I’m drawn to the movie….Yes, the trailer does look like warmed-over CRAP but it has dead people walking around…..No matter how bad it may look, it still has dead people walking around….Dave Like Dead People Movies, he he he he…..(although House of the Dead was bad even for a dead people movie)….By the way, does anyone know what song is playing in the trailer? It starts up when Milla Jovovich is running down the side of the building…lyrics are something to the tune of “not listening, not anymore…more I learn, the more I know”…sounds cool, want to find out who it is so I can download it illegally… :)

  3. Whoah. Awful, awful, awful.

“We’re an expendable force. And we’ve just been expended.”

I don’t think you can even say that with the English language, let alone a straight face.
