Okay, it’s definitely not an official trailer – it has the feel of a promo clip run on whatever the Japanese version of Entertainment Tonight is – but, man, does this thing have some stunning visuals in it. This is Wong Kar Wai’s futuristic pseudo-follow up to the stunning In the Mood For Love and though the version he screened at Cannes got some mixed reviews I’m bearing in mind that what screened there was an ultra-last minute edit – so last minute that they had to screen the film a day late – that will almost definitely be further altered by the time it reaches official release. Plus the man’s a certifiable genius, with an absolutely devastating cast and one of the absolute best cinematographers in the world. Yeah. I’ll be seeing this opening day. Check out the trailer here.

I heard some bad critics for the movie in Cannes, but I think this is a must see. I hope the official release to kick ass. The visual talent of Wong Kar Wai is really amazing.
