Gah! Dark Horizons is reporting that once they finally get a breather from the never ending Shaun of the Dead press junket Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg will begin scripting their next film. Pegg describes the project as “The Wicker Man crossed with Hard Boiled” with the same comedy tone that marked Shaun of the Dead. The main cast of Shaun will all be involved along with the guys behind Little Britain. That, boys and girls, is some damn fine news. We’ve got some time booked with the Shaun boys while they’re in town next week and you can be sure we’re going to pump them for information on this …

Having never seen The Wicker Man until today I cannot wait to find out more about how they’re going to do this. Hard Boiled has owned me since our ‘secret’ screenings back in our college days. And it will all make sense when Edgar and Simon tell all.
